CALLING ALL COACHES....

We cannot have a successful baseball program without the help of parent coaches. Coaching is an amazing way to stay involved with the sport, participate with your child and support your local community.

Our organization is happy to support our parents by providing coaching clinics. Most are held in the spring, however, you can get started today by signing up in the NCCP program.

National Coaching Certification Program (NCCP)

The NCCP is a National Coaching Certification Program in Canada covering more than 60 sports. This program offers coaching resources and opportunities for online modules and certification, and membership also provides access to Baseball BC which provides great lesson plans, drills and instructional videos to help you organize practices.

We hope that you consider signing up for either the coaching conference or joining the NCCP program or even both. Sunshine Coast Baseball is willing to sponsor the costs, please reach out with receipts for reimbursement.

How To Register for The NCCP Program

If you would like to simply access some e-modules and gain access to all of the resources at Baseball BC you will need to register with NCCP. If you coach other sports and already have your NCCP account you may get to skip this step.

Registering is $37.45, you receive access to Baseball BC and have to the Baseball Canada Training Modules. Several are free. If you want to go further and be certified in the Coach Initiation & Absolutes Program you can get half-price by signing up for the BC Minor Coaches Conference that is held each year in the winter. Please see the attached for instructions on how to register for a NCCP #.

Registering for NCCP Program

 

All courses and the cost of your NCPP is reimbursable by the league. To be reimbursed please send your NCCP #, along with receipts of courses that you have paid for to president@sunshinecoastbaseball.ca. Coaches can receive reimbursement after the league has verified that the course has been completed.

Coaches Training Courses

All coaches must complete the Fundamentals modules and can further their knowledge by adding on each division listed below.

For a team to be eligible for Summer Ball, they must have a coach with the credentials listed in the applicable age division.

  • Initiation Coach Clinic

U11 Trained:

  • Absolutes Clinics
  • My 1st Pitch eLearning Module

13U Trained:

  • Teaching and Learning Clinic
  • Planning Clinic
  • Absolutes Clinic
  • Pitching and Catching Clinic
  • 13U Video Package (Web, Instructional, VLOGs)

Signing Up For Coaching Conference

To sign up for the coaching conference and access to the upcoming NCCP clinics at a discounted rate please use this link: https://www.bcminorbaseball.org/coaching 

Click "Register for BCMBA Coaches Conference" Complete the registration process and use Sunshine Coast Baseballs direct billing code which can be accessed by emailing president@sunshinecoastbaseball.ca

The BC Minor Coaches Conference can be accessed virtually or in person and provides access to all the NCCP clinics that are scheduled in the month after the conference.
